New approach to evaluation of over the counter medicines in Australia and New Zealand
A new streamlined process for assessing medicines sold over the counter takes effect week starting 15 April 2013.

Joint Statement by Prime Ministers Key and Gillard: February 2013
Prime Ministers John Key and Julia Gillard met in Queenstown on 9 February 2013 for the annual Australia-New Zealand Leaders' meeting. Noting 30 years of economic cooperation under the Closer Economic Relations (CER) agreement, they also discussed progress to date with the development of the ANZTPA and reaffirmed their commitment to see it operational by mid 2016.
